This vehicle is in nice shape except 3 items. The cylinder head needs to be replaced due to bent valves after timing set wrong . Aside from a small ding on rear trunk lid the vehicles body is great with the exception of pass door paint is terrible looking. Interior aside front right seat has a piece of top layer missing otherwise no issues. Head removed and ready to replace. Very valuable running correctly. Great technician investment.

The all-aluminum-bodied audi a8 is offered in two lengths, standard and long (designated "l"), and with two different engines. The a8 and a8 l utilize a 350-horsepower, 4. 2l direct-injection v8, and the flagship a8 l model is powered by a smooth 450-horsepower "w12" engine based on a volkswagen design. Both models are matched with a 6-speed automatic transmission with the tiptronic function, which allows the driver to manually select gears when desired. The 4. 2l a8 can get from zero to 60 in only 5. 9 seconds according to audi, while the 6. 0l w12 version can do the dash in 5. 0 seconds. All versions are matched with audi's quattro all-wheel drive system, which transfers power from side to side as well as front to back, improving handling and all-weather capability. The servotronic steering system adjusts assist and steering feel with vehicle speed, also for improved handling. All a8 models get the audi adaptive air suspension, which automatically adjusts the damping rates to compensate for road and driving conditions. The available sport package adds an additional setting with more aggressive damping. The a8 comes with a full roster of safety features, including front and rear side air bags for outboard occupants, the sideguard side-curtain air bag for outboard occupant head and chest protection, plus active front head restraints and knee air bags for front occupants. Air bag deployment is optimized with six different crash sensors. Stability control and anti-lock brakes with brake assist are also standard. The a8 has distinctive led lighting inside; it's appointed with calcona leather upholstery and one of three different wood trims. Standard high-tech equipment on the a8 includes adaptive front lighting, an advanced parking system with rearview camera, a dvd-based navigation system, a 12-speaker bose surround sound system with noise-reduction technology and cd changer, and rain-sensor wipers. An advanced key keyless entry system is new on the a8. A 4-zone climate control, power door and trunklid closers, electric side and rear sunshades and a rear-seat entertainment system with twin 6. 5-inch screens are also standard. Optional on both is a more powerful, fully digital 1000-watt bang & olufsen advanced sound system, with 14 speakers. Special options on the a8 include a solar-cell sunroof that circulates fresh air while the car is parked, dual-paned security glass, power lumbar support for the rear seats, and rear climate control. W12 models can truly be optioned up to bentley levels, with an available personal refrigerator, a full dashboard leather package, and huge 20-inch forged alloy wheels. The high-performance s8 model is powered by a lamborghini-derived 5. 2l v10 engine making 450-horsepower, mated to a 6-speed tiptronic automatic and capable of reaching 60 mph in only five seconds. Besides a sportier outside appearance, the s8 gets a firmer suspension calibration and special aluminum and birch wood trim inside. The 3. 0 tdi, meanwhile, delivers 240 horsepower and an impressive 428 ft-lb of torque. Base models of the a6 with front-wheel drive (labeled fronttrack) include a continuously variable transaxle (cvt), but the rest of the lineup utilizes an excellent 8-speed tiptronic automatic. On any of these models, a rear-biased version of audi's quattro system sends 60 percent of torque to the rear wheels under normal driving, giving it more balanced handling, while the a6's construction uses a combination of aluminum panels and high-strength steel to save weight and improve the a6's nimble, responsive feel. Thanks to audi drive select, steering and throttle are adjustable, as is transmission behavior. Inside in most models there's 3- or 4-zone automatic climate control and ventilated seats are available. In addition, there are some standout technology features, such as built-in wifi connection, google earth maps for the navigation system and integrated google local search. The a6 is also strong on safety features, with a pre sense system, which initiates protective measures if it anticipates a collision, included in all a6 models. There's also available adaptive cruise control and an audi side assist option that warns of vehicles potentially in the driver's blind spot. Those willing to splurge on options are also able to get a night-vision assistant and head-up display, as well as the phenomenal 1,300-watt, 15-speaker bang & olufsen advanced sound system. A 630-watt, 14-speaker bose surround sound system is also available. Key trim levels for the a6 2. 0t are premium and premium plus, while the 3. 0t and tdi start at premium plus and are also offered in a prestige trim. Premium plus models add keyless start, led running lamps, a parking-sensor system and audi's mmi touch screen-driven interface with hd radio, plus navigation with siriusxm traffic. The s6 is a high-performance variation on the a6 but a big step up in performance, thanks to its 420-horsepower, 4. 0l turbocharged v8 engine, along with a special 7-speed s tronic gearbox and various other performance upgrades. The s6 supports its performance credibility with upgraded ventilated disc brakes with matte-black calipers, a 4-outlet dual exhaust and special 19-inch cast-aluminum wheels. A "cylinder on demand" system can temporarily shut some cylinders off to save fuel, while active engine mounts and active noise cancellation keep the vibration at bay. Inside, the s6 gets special power-adjustable s6 sport seats, valcona leather seats with diamond stitching, leather steering-wheel trim with colored stitching, illuminated door sills and special sport seats.
